Manual Drive Train (AUT-102)
This course covers the manual drive train and the components that are individually part of it. Covered are front wheel, rear wheel drive, four wheel drive, and all wheel drive transmissions systems. The power delivery to the wheels through the clutch, transmission, differential and drive shafts are part of this course. Theory, noise diagnostics and overhaul procedures will be covered within this phase. Constant velocity axles and drive shaft overhaul will be covered as well. Included within this module will be a section on diagnostics, noise, and vibration causes and repairs. Prerequisite: AUT 100 or equivalent experience. 3 lecture and 3 laboratory hours per week. 4 credit hours.
