Administrative Procedures (ADM-131)
This course discusses general administrative professional orientation, including the role of a professional secretary. This course develops self-confidence and a professional attitude. Lectures and discussions on records management, mail processing, travel arrangements, business meetings, communications responsibilities, financial assistance, investments, human relations in the office, grooming, and career advancement. Development of business vocabulary and business communications skills is included. Also, an overview of employment search activities such as the resume and interview process is covered. Prerequisite: ENG 097. 3 lecture hours per week. 3 credit hours.
